General Information

EURALIMMS

The EURA-LIMMS project has started as an International Research Network (IRN) project of CNRS with a kick-off event in Tokyo in october 2024 in the Institute of Industrial Science where is located the joint CNRS/U.Tokyo lab LIMMS (here). The aim is to create a Europe-Asia network for the development of innovative technologies in energy, bioengineering and molecular sciences. These areas include technologies for health, energy harvesting and management, as well as quantum and molecular technologies.

The project has four main objectives:

  • Organizing winter and summer schools with a strong focus on interdisciplinary research across active research fields.
  • Strengthening the links between top institutions in Europe and Asia.
  • Organizing topical workshops alternatively in Europe and Asia.
  • Involve interactions with startups and large companies for education purpose and to promote technology implementation.

EURALIMMS is currently under the direction of Nicolas Clement (CNRS) and Soo Hyeon Kim (U.Tokyo).

The main partners are:

  • Europe: CNRS (France), EPFL (Switzerland), Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany), Twente University (Netherlands)
  • Asia: The University of Tokyo (Japan), National University of Singapore (Singapore), National Taiwan University (Taiwan), Seoul National University (South Korea).

Each Partner has a PI (here).

EURALIMMS25

porquerolles

EURALIMMS25 is an interdisciplinary Europe / Asia school on Bioengineering, Energy and Quantum & Molecular Technologies designed for graduate students and researchers. Held in the beautiful setting of Porquerolles Island, this summer school offers plenary sessions providing a global background and topical sessions exploring the details of each field. Topical sessions will delve into cutting-edge research in the areas listed below, providing participants with in-depth knowledge and insights. Lectures will be ensured by experts from top institutions in Europe and Asia, fostering a unique environment for learning and collaboration. Participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with leading scientists from both Europe and Asia, fostering a truly international research environment.

Scope of EURALIMMS25 School
